Today we’re cooking up a classic corned beef hash recipe. You can mix your own leftover corned beef or use canned corned beef with diced potato and onion to create this hearty breakfast dish. I keep the seasoning simple with just a little pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce, so this dish doesn’t require many ingredients. Ingredients for a Corned Beef Hash Recipe

12 oz CANNED CORNED BEEF
2 med POTATOES
1 Lg ONION
2-3 Tbsp WORCESTERSHIRE
1 tsp PAPRIKA
1 tsp CARAWAY SEEDS (optional)
OIL for the skillet
SALT and PEPPER to taste
…add a little fresh or dried HOT PEPPER if desired

How to make Corned Beef Hash

Heat oil in a skillet on medium heat.
I like to slice and sear my corned beef in the skillet while I prep the other ingredients for this dish. Corned beef in the can is already cooked, but that sear adds even more flavor to the recipe.
Remove seared beef from the skillet and set aside.
Add in diced potatoes. Cut potatoes uniformly, slightly smaller than a game die. You can skin the potatoes if you like, but why? It’s easier not to skin the potatoes, and the skin is good, so think about it, dude. Sauté potatoes for about five minutes. Give the dish an occasional stir, but not too much.
Mix in the chopped onion, and continue sautéing another 5 minutes.
Add in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper and cook for another 5 minutes.
Shred corned beef into the skillet and mix well. Raise the skillet temperature to medium high and continue cooking 5-10 minutes more, or until the dish is done to your liking.

  1. Hello greedings from Germany i've cooked this meal with my grandpa and it tastet great! Thanks for the great recipe , I wish yall a good day!

  2. NASSA spent thousands researching something to write with in space…the Russians simply used a pencil. Don’t complicate getting corned beef out of the tin…simply use a fork between the tin can and the corned beef and prise it out. It works for me….and no doubt the Russians.

  3. Dude literally doesn’t even mention mustard pickles.

Eating corned beef hash without mustard pickles is highly illegal.

  4. There are also corned beef hash recipes straight from the can that you can use as well! That's how I do it!

  5. I love your accent!!!! 😂 potataaaah!!! So adorable. Im from new jersey I definitely dont hear this accent very often.
Anyways— thanks for sharing your recipe!! I love corned beef its common in puerto rican cuisine too!

  6. You use a spoon to eat your Corned beef Hash? I have never seen that before, it is different but cool.

  7. Hi chef buck that looks delicious it’s a different way of doing it than we do we done a mix stew 🍲 for dinner tonight we have beef 🥩 inside it well try that at some point David great video 🇬🇧❤️👍🍲

  8. I've NEVER liked corned beef hash, thanks to being in a juvenile detention center many years ago.
But, I work in retail now, and looked up the difference between corned beef hash and roast beef hash.
After watching this video, I'm actually wanting to try this, but with the roast beef hash in a can.
Thank you Chef Buck, love the beep beep beep parts, got me rolling over here man
    🤣

  9. I find it good practice to chill the tin of corned beef before slicing it. It comes out of the can more cleanly and keeps it's shape longer when sliced and diced.

I prefer a poached egg on top of it. And I parboil the dice potatoes first.

  10. new subbie here. Here, Buck just another bit of science. Store your can over night in fridge to cool and congel the meat, it is much easier to cut and handle. Yee Haw from the Great State of Texas!

  11. 3:37 Not all corned beef is pre cooked. The Libbys brand that you used uses only cooked beef, but I use Hereford and it's cooked beef and raw beef. Just a heads up.

  12. I peel the paper before using the key. If you use a regular can opener to remove the other end the meat drops out.

  13. Got the corned beef from brazil to uk and the faroes, what a good meal, ask my german langstok shepard, we share the tin can, we both love it

  14. Making this tonight while camping up in the sierra mountains. Only this Zi ding have is the coriander seeds. Bears are gonna be talking about this dish tonight🤣. Thanks for another great recipe.

  15. In Southeast Asia, they make a very simple type of canned, corned beef "stew" with sautéed onions & chopped fresh tomatoes, & your choice of seasoning…I add small cubed potatoes like Chef Buck, & when they're starting to get tender, add enough water to finish cooking the potatoes… Add the corned beef sliced in chunks & cook until hot, & it breaks apart into small pieces…Then taste for seasoning & see if you need to add more water to finish cooking the potatoes…Served over a bed of jasmine rice & topped with fried eggs…It's a quick weekend breakfast or brunch meal with very little effort…😊

  16. In a family of 7 kids, we ate this a lot .
Saw it on store shelf and here I sit.
    Guess what’s for breakfast!!

  17. It was delish. I added cooked carrots and courgettes, otherwise I followed the recipe. Thanks! This was enough for two of me , so half is left on my plate.
