  1. I made this recipe for the first time and the biscuits came out amazing, so fluffy and quite big. This recipe is awesome and I recommend it to everyone, even if you haven't baked before. It's easy, if you follow John step by step, it doesn't require to many ingredients and at the end you look like a chef. The end product is beautiful and quite delicious, if I could say so myself. I think I'll use the same recipe to make biscuits, but I will reduce the sugar to one tablespoon. Thank you for this wonderful treat.

  2. Our family for many generations has always used homemade angel food cakes. We also use a potato masher to roughly mash the strawberries and add a little sugar as well if they’re not sweet enough. After cake is cooled we cut a slice and plop real whipping cream on top and finally pour a nice amount of mashed strawberries over all. I may try the “real deal” shortcake but hope it’s as delicious as mine.

  3. Everyone needs salvation here are the words of salvation please forgive me jesus im a sinner come into my heart and save me from my sin I no that you are the savior and I no that you died for me on calvary and I no that you died for me on calvary and I no that God raise you from the dead and you are alive and I thankyou for your salvation in Jesus holy name amen and its important to always ask for forgiveness every night 🌙

  4. A really great recipe and demonstration, exacting in every measurement…except the butter! I assumed that the two sticks in the video amount to a half a pound (8 oz.), even though it's twice the amount required in some other recipes. The result was delicious, buttery, and well worth repeating. Thanks.

  5. Have you thought about soaking the biscuit in some strawberry syrup and a little touch of strawberries liquor? It would make it even softer and tastier I think!

  6. I have made a trifle version of this, putting the berries on the cake itself so the juice will soak in, and then the whipped cream.

  7. i never use shortcake i use sara lee pound cake it's too delicious!! great recipe though

  8. Just made these! They are more work than I planned on putting in but I was committed. Turned out delicious.

  9. These look amazing! Must try your recipe. However we would definitely call these scones in the UK 🇬🇧 and with your addition of cream and strawberry’s it’s closer to something called a cream tea over here ❤

  10. I started making shortcake using vanilla ice cream for the first layer instead of whipping cream. It's so refreshing on a hot day.😋

  11. I just made this for our Easter dessert. It was a hit, and frankly, it was easy to make.

  12. I made this shortcake recipe this past Saturday night for a small group of friends. I used the 2.5" mouth of a qt–sized canning jar dipped in cornmeal; I used European butter which I had to store sliced, in the freezer. Also used my own Raspberry cordial (my version of Framboise) to flavor the strawberries that weren't as ripe as I would have preferred. They could not stop raving about the biscuits, and strawberries (and served with the Reddi-whip whipped cream)!!! Thank you for a terrific recipe. P. S. with the 2.5" cutter, I had 13 shortcakes.

  13. this recipe is BOMB. i loved making the shortcakes, they taste AMAZING, and they impress!! loovee

  14. I'm one of those run hot people. My best work around has been to wash my hands super cold and put gloves on to try to limit the heat transfer.

  15. I made my first batch of Strawberry Shortcake today, for my wife and I. Your recipe was great for me to follow. Thanks!!!
