I am happy to see that it is exactly how I make my chicken soup without the matzo. You are not alone in taking great care in washing or cleaning the meats before cooking. I kasher my sink before and during meal prep. I love your videos!

  4. Just followed your recipe to make this delicious soup. Thank you! I’m a gorsky Jew and we don’t ever make matza ball on Passover. This was my first time. We make a different soup called Ashkena and it’s super delicious as well.

  5. I love this soup i make it too. But i have one issue for some reason the matzo balls do not cook though they stay hard inside no matter how long i cook. Maybe someone knows my problem. Please let me know.

  6. I have had trouble with the matzo balls cracking and falling apart. Maybe I have made them too large?

  7. I can't wait to try. Little cutting board tip. Slightly wet a paper towel and put under cutting board and it won't move when you're chopping.

  8. I make it similar like my mother did but sometimes I add a sweet potato and a cup of cubed butternut squash.Just a little bit different but just delicious!

  9. Sonya, I made your matzo ball chicken soup and my family all loved it, many of them having seconds at the Seder. The whole house smelled amazing. The kosher chicken legs and thighs and the onions, celery, and carrots added so much flavor and the matzo balls were light and fluffy. Your recipe was easy to follow. I definitely will make your chicken soup and matzo balls again and again.

  10. Wow, this looks so good. This is almost how I make mine. So tasty. I also use the straits matz ball mix and add a little bit of nutmeg. I also started adding lots of chicken and vegetables too.

  11. My mother, a gourmet cook, also put a tidge of fresh lemon juice in her soup as well as a tidge of fresh ginger into the broth. Then, she strained out the onions and cooking herbs to have a clear broth. Nice additions.
