  1. You need to season the meat before you dredge it. Seasoning in the batter is not enough. Salt, pepper, garlic powder in the cube steak before you dredge it in flour.

  2. Don't put your steaks on paper towels, just a wire rack. The paper towels make the crust soggy..you can keep your steaks warm in a 200 degree oven while u r cooking the rest.

  3. Your gravy looks like crap. You have to mix the flower with the oil when it's cool not hot. That's what gives you the lumps of cooked flower. That looks like a child made it. No one wants cooked dough balls in their gravy.

  4. Ok I see where i screwed up.
    1. I Didn’t tenderize my round steaks enough
    2. Used salad dressing rather than butter milk batter then flour, cornmeal, breadcrumbs, etc.
    3 Fried in canola oil at first, then used bacon grease.

    Don’t do the above.

  5. As a Northerner all my life, I'm confused…you're using beef, but it's called chicken fried steak. Explain yourselves.
