1 Tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cups sugar (use 1 cup for sour cherry pie)
5 Tbsp corn starch
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp butter, diced, to dot the top

    Homemade with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and its better than all those fancy overly priced restaurants.

  4. Natasha, if I wanted to use this pie filling a different way could I just put it in a pot/pan, heat it up until it thickens then use as desired? Im trying to decide if I should use my cherries fresh on a vanilla pastry cream and pistachio crust tart or to use them like a jam. Basically, this filling. Please respond as soon as possible. Im going to get my tart dough baked in a bit. Everything else is ready to go. Well, besides this filling but my cherries are pitted 😅. TIA… 😉

  5. I saw my mom ruin her oven by putting tinfoil on the bottom. She got a new oven and it actually says on the bottom DO NOT PUT TINFOIL HERE 😂
