  1. Perfect time, I just bought swordfish! I wasn't planning anything this fancy but maybe I'll be inspired by this😊

  2. That barley salad looks so good, and it's not the kind of thing I would have expected to like. I love the idea of the sweet and savory together.

  3. Cherry tomatoes topping looks great but I hate fish if it's not one of the shellfish so I'll try it on shrimp instead.

  4. I'd never thought of cooking the various parts of caponata on the grill! Brilliant, Dan. I can't wait to give that a try. Thanks.

  5. I have never been to Mediteranea. The American cheeses do not add dollars to the cheese. Sometimes snobbishness is added to European cheeses along with cost.

  6. I make a version of the barley salad, but it's more like a tabouleh with either barley or quinoa, which I prefer to couscous.

  7. I'm vegan, but I have family that is. Is it possible to grill tofu, and have it not taste like socks?

  8. so sad to hear you use the microwave, don't you know it kills the vitality of the foods put in there?

  16. It's kind of misleading to talk about the "dietary fiber" of barley, then recommend "pearled barley" that has the pericarp removed, which is where the dietary fiber is. Only whole barley is high in dietary fiber!

  17. Are these beautiful recipes included in the Complete Mediterranean Cookbook? I just ordered the book online!
