I’m obsessed with this hummus recipe. Not only is it fast and easy, it’s fresh, super creamy and delicious. And it comes together in less than 3 minutes! Made in my Vitamix with organic canned chickpeas, tahini and a few other fresh ingredients, it’s the best homemade hummus recipe (and I think you’ll agree).

This video was created in partnership with Vitamix (a brand I’ve loved and used for years). All thoughts and opinions are my own. #spon

  1. This hummus is the perfect healthy appetizer or snack! I scoop it up with fresh cucumber slices, but you could use any veggie. You could also make my cassava flour tortilla chips or ultimate seed crackers (both recipes are gluten-free, paleo & vegan and on my website). Hope you guys like this video – and I'd love to hear what recipe videos you'd like to see next! – Lisa xo

  2. I love Hummus, will never buy it again. I will be making it myself with some Indian chips to eat it. Thank you so much.

  3. amazing.. this recipe is too good and i just loved it.. hummus is one of my favorite things and i just loved it.. keep on sharing more and more and a lot of love from planet ayurveda

  4. Thank you, I loved your quick no nonsense delicious recipe which enabled me to make this in minutes 😊

  5. Couldl you post the exact recipe here? The link for the recipe tried to install an unwanted program on my computer.

  6. nice great video you kept it only 3 mins and looks absolutely delicious great job like i hate watching a long video and the food isn't good lmao that hummus looks incredible.

  7. For those struggling with obesity, I stopped eating addicting chips and started eating cucumbers with hummus… but since hummas is so expensive on it's own I decided to make my own stuff.

  8. Hummus is one of my favorites. Growing up it was a staple in our household. My mom would skip the cumin and I personally think it tastes sooooo much better without it. You should give it a try.

  9. so I made this using my Cuisinart and I would not recommend it. It's all I had on hand and I had soaked my chickpeas in a lot of water over night but it was still too fibrous and chunky not smooth. So trial and error and I'll be buying a proper smoothie blender!

  10. It’s a great recipe, but I made about a litre of hummus. So if you just want to make it for yourself, halve the recipe.

  11. Thank you so much for your recipes and videos! I have searched off and on for a hummus to make at home. Your recipe was the first that I did not feed to the garbage disposal. Yes, I ate it all. I think it got better after it sat for a few days. The tahini I had was one that was sitting in the back in my refrigerator of uncertain origin. I had lime juice and coriander instead of lemon & cumin…. and I still finished it, knowing that if it was that good with less than optimum ingredients, it would be wonderful fixed properly with the right things.
Today I made it for the first time with the correct ingredients and also made your recipe for tahini. I will never purchase hummus or tahini in the store again! Thank you very much for your fabulous content!

  12. Hummus can have different ingredients, so season to your own taste. You can always add more of something when you are making it at home. I use my Bullet and it works great.
This recipe has a lot of lemon. I would start with one, taste, and if you need more then add it.
Also, we heat the beans and juice. If you are in a Middle Eastern home, your hummus will be served fresh and warm!
If, when mixing, the hummus is too thick, add more bean juice and/or olive oil.
You can add chili, sumac, cumin, whatever you like… probably a little more salt than she put in.
When you serve it, put a drizzle of olive oil over the top. It will collect in the well of the hummus and will be delicious.

  13. So, we don't have to peel the the skins off the chickpeas? I thought we had to peel the skins off the chickpeas to keep it's smooth texture.

  14. Can you give me the recipe with all ingredients to make Hummus. There are few things in the video clip that I don’t know what is it and how to write it down. And it gone so quickly as you talked. Thank you!

  15. So soaking chickpeas overnight is the only difference between that and canned? Everything else is made the same way?
