Ps. I did your carrot cake recipe and it was awesome 😍

  2. What happens when you overwhip? And why do you add vanilla to it last? I’m sincerely curious and love to learn. The why helps me remember.

  3. If you use a sponge cake is it still strawberry shortcake ? I’ve seen “strawberry shortcake” in bakery’s and they use cake. This is my mom’s favorite and I want to surprise her on her birthday next month

  4. Question from a random non english person: what's the difference between shortcake biscuit and scones ?

  5. thank you for the recipe! delicious and easy to make, though I find it a bit easier (and less messy) to not sandwich the biscuits and just make them a bit thinner

  6. So made these followed to the t. Disappointed very much. I have strawberries in frig will have to do something else with them

  7. So it's called shortcake, but what you've made there looks more like a scone, yet you refer to it as a biscuit / cookie?! Oh boy, am I confused.

  8. can the dough for the scone be frozen?….or other wise once baked, how can the scones last a while?
    In the fridge or freezer?

  9. Can I exchange Orange Extract for orange liqueur? I'm teaching a baking class for students, and the (VERY delicious) orange liqueur would be frowned upon….Sigh.

  10. The video said 1and 1/2 TBSP of baking powder. Written recipe said 1TBSP of baking power and 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Video said 1/2 C of butter written recipe says 1C that’s a huge difference. Temperature video 425 written 400? That’s a lot of discrepancies btw the video and written recipe. Come on!

  11. Thank you so much for putting the grams measurements, Europe and US measure totally differently so it helps a loooot!!

  14. Hi John, LOVE your cooking methods! I enjoy watching your videos with my granddaughter and we bake together some of your recipes. I made this last night with fresh berries (I'm in Florida…end of the strawberry season)..The printed recipe says 1 cup butter, the video says 1/2 cup butter…the video says 1.5 TBS baking powder, and the printed recipe says 1 TBS baking powder and 1/2 tsp soda. Mine didn't turn out so good, everyone said they tasted great, but they didn't raise. Any advice? Thank you!
