Honey-Bourbon Glazed Bacon
RECIPE COURTESY OF BOBBY FLAY
Level: Easy
Total: 40 min
Active: 10 min
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1/4 cup clover honey
2 tablespoons bourbon
12 slices double-smoked, thick-cut bacon
Coarsely ground black pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine the honey and bourbon in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Lay the bacon on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 10 minutes. Brush with some of the honey-bourbon syrup. Continue roasting until deeply caramelized and crispy, another 10 to 15 minutes–the bacon will really crisp as it cools. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon pepper and serve.

  1. he thinks he is the best but can not do a cook of with GORDEN RAMSEY so not that good as a chef unless he is against amatures

  2. such a good cook when he is against amatures GO AGAINST GORDON RAMSEY SO WE CAN SEE HOW REALLY GOOD YOU ARE AND IT WAS FOR CHARITY please be professional and do it for CHARITY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. He is a rancid human being. His treatment of those around his is outrageous. He need's to be taken off the air. Look at his actions at the Le Cordon Bleu school during the remaking of the American cookbook.

  4. I've done this many times with bourbon, rum & whiskey. Honey works well with all 3. Comes out better if you flip the bacon before adding the glaze & use a wire rack.

  5. it could just be my headphones but at some point in the video i could only hear the MUSIC in my left ear

  6. I've been making Bourbon-Bacon for some time, by simply adding 2 fingers of bourbon to the meat in my cast iron skillet, (NOTHING ELSE!) and flipping once. Comes out tasty and crispy, the Texas way!
