  2. Hello & Good Morning MARY …This is all well & good , but I am more interested in something a little different , something my late wife made & had not ever shown me how it's made.. 1.) Spicy fried chicken livers ( only PERDUE would do for her & she did show me the whys of that so I could pick them up & get the right ones for her )…
    2.) Spicy Stir-fried chicken livers ( again only Perdue would do ) Any others are just disgusting by comparison …Perdue takes better care in selection , cleanliness , & preparation…. Would you have preparation recipes of these 2 methods of cooking Spicy chicken livers , and could I get you interested in doing a video tutorial in actually making a batch of Chicken livers BOTH ways …I only really enjoy chicken livers these 2 ways & haven't had any since my wife passed 10 years ago & have been starving for them ever since … I used to ask her why she'd only cook these before I got home & not wait til I was there & could see & learn how to make it being it was one of my favorite dishes … She'd just laugh & said , what , you think I'm stupid ??? If anything ever happens to me I want you to be thinking about me every day ….And about how much you miss me … She said that part without laughing & said she meant every syllable of it …By GOD she was right , whether for the right or wrong reasons , she was right …lol…So could I get you interested in doing this type of video ..???   3. My Italian grandmother made "Liver Pate" that we just loved! We cook up onions, garlic and liver in fry pan with butter. Once cooked and cooled we add to food processor with hard boiled egg, S/P, and Mayonnaise. We serve it at holiday time with crackers. I love liver pate sandwiches too 😛

  9. Ok I’m gonna try this most simple of all pâtés I’ve ever seen. Usually they’ve got a bunch of butter they incorporate too.
    I need to eat more of the liver, not butter!
    Have u made it with calf liver?
    Do u have other easy offal dishes? I know heart is basically shredded and eaten like any meat but there’s kidneys and thymus,
    What the heck ARE gizzards??

  10. I’m hoping that your recipe makes chicken liver more palatable for me. I don’t know if it’s the texture or off-flavor that is a turn-off. I know they’re beneficial but just can’t get past this. I will someday try your recipe. I want to enjoy them.

  13. M-m-m. I would be grateful if chopped chicken liver was widely available in packages at the grocery store. Thanks for the nice simple recipe, and I like the advice to freeze the livers, as they can be a challenge to face for some of us.

  14. My recipe calls for a stalk or two celery to be cooked along with the onion. All in all you have a nice recipe here, but the celery does add something to it.

  15. You make yours exactly the way I make mine. Schmaltz really is a key ingredient for that authentic flavor. Excellent video with wonderful commentary to guide anyone new to making this fabulous dish.

  17. Thank you for showing me how to make a SCHMALTZ. I do make chopped liver, but I’ve never made my own fat. I did love your recipe only difference is I also use some raw onion as well as the caramelized onion and I do put more schmaltz when I’m chopping up my liver and I use my mothers which I think was her mothers wooden shopping bowl with a hand chopper I look forward to trying the schmaltz recipe and letting you know
