After tasting the local cheeses, Gordon decided to whip up his take on the classic grilled cheese sandwich complete with homemade kimchi. No one will call you an idiot sandwich after making this!

  1. You would yell at a contestant on any of your shows for burning the bread and not melting the cheese. And, melting the cheese is the main thing for a grilled cheese.

  2. People are calling out ramsay for a horrible grilled cheese sandwich but i say they lack creativity. It takes alot of effort to burn the bread while not melting the cheese. And let me tell you he perfected that technique.

  3. Gordon is apparently such a good chef and if someone served him that on master chef he would flip out but all of a sudden, he makes it and it is amazing. Like he can't even properly melt the cheese 💀

  4. My man Gordon is literally choking on smoke at one point! What the actual hell! 😄😄😄😄

  5. I’m sorry 2 inch’s of bread 1/2” of cheese and 1/4” of kimchi…it probably tastes fine but is a terrible eating experience.

  6. Hard and dry cheeses need to be grated for a grilled cheese or youll have to put it in the over low for the cheese to melt without fucking up the bread.

  7. adding anything more than bread butter and cheese is not a grilled cheese sandwich.

  8. Holy shit. This was surreal to watch. Like he keeps gushing about his grilled cheese, in a manner that made me think "um….we have eyes Gordon you callijg a burned grilled cheese beautiful and using a fireplace doesnt change facts" ….he REALLY COMES across as a tool here. Especially given his simple food speil

  9. What I don't understand is why they couldn't have done another take and redone the sandwich after making this abomination. How did NO ONE speak up and say: "nice!…how about we try just one more a different way to get the cheese melted?"

Use a lid and cover to melt the cheese faster. 😭

  10. Why he making that sandwich like his life depends on it, and he is running out of time?

  11. Why are people still using butter and oil when there is perfectly good mayonnaise in the fridge?

  12. Staff: We have this oven so you can put your pan
Gordon: Fk that, I'll use the fireplace.

  13. Gordon Ramsay is an amazing world-class chef, but the one thing he clearly still struggles with is grilled cheese.

  14. I will say hes on to something with the kimchi. I made a properly cooked grilled cheese on sourdough with gouda, Dubliner cheese with kimchi in the middle & it was the best damn grilled cheese ive ever had…

  15. A better placement over the fire or even over hot coal would have done the cheese a better job. The reason why the bread burned before cooking the inside was because the temperature was to hot to let the inside cook causing the bread to burn- if he had placed the skillet on the hot coal to let the inside cook than over the fire it would be a grilled cheese and not a medium rare bread and cheese 😭😭😭😭

  16. gordon ramsay is the single greatest cause of heart disease. half a stick of butter, quarter bottle of olive oil and cheese all in the same dish. amazing.

  17. Kudos to Gordon for keeping this video up, despite getting roasted way worse than that sandwich in the comments.

  18. Grilled cheese is suppose to be melted. He chose hard cheeses with thick bread. Wtf

Ramsey, now you are the donkey! Smh

  19. I could be wrong but the consistency of the type of cheese he used makes it not melt the same way as basic cheese or a processed cheese slice.

  20. This is depressing. Burned bread, no melt? Gtfo… pretty words though, terrible sandwich

  21. I think the problem is that a grilled cheese sandwich is just too simple for the man that it didn’t compute.

Two slices of simple dollar bread, two slices of American cheese (3 if your feeling wild), butter. Plus a little garlic salt if you want a little extra. Pair with Cambell’s tomato soup 🍜, you’re in business. If you use ingredients that cost more than $3 each, you did something very, very wrong.
