Jamies takes us through the principals of making pesto and shares the wisdom passed onto him by Italian Nonnas he has met over the years. The traditional Genovese method uses garlic, basil, pine nut, olive oil and parmesan or pecorino but Jamie encourages us to do like the Italians and make it with what we have available. It’s guaranteed delicious.

  1. If you want any authentic food-recipe just go to Jamie Oliver's YouTube channel or website and listen! Thank you Jamie!! God bless you!

  2. I genuinely love and respect Jamie Oliver. He seems like he's a man with a golden heart. Thanks so much for this beautiful video Jamie.

  3. Your sauce might be good, tasty etc.But it's not pesto. Pesto does not have mint, parsley, potatoes, etc. Pesto ONLY has basil, Parmigiano Reggiano, olive oil, and garlic. Please do not say this sauce is the best pesto. It is not pesto!

  4. What is the point of the random, irritating, distracting musical noises fading in and out???
    It simply spoiled the video.

  5. I haven't watched this guy's videos in a loooooooong time.
He is still my favourite but what puts me off is that if you are not rich it is hard to make his food from home so you spend all your life just watching and wishing. The equipment needed and recipes are quite expensive to get hold of.

  6. So interesting, I had no idea it was possible to use different nuts and herbs, I can't wait to experiment now! Great video, love Jamie's enthusiasm.
