Chicken Piccata
RECIPE COURTESY OF GIADA DE LAURENTIIS
Level: Easy
Total: 40 min
Prep: 15 min
Cook: 25 min
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
2 skinless and boneless chicken breasts, butterflied and then cut in half
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
All-purpose flour, for dredging
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup brined capers, rinsed
1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in flour and shake off excess.
In a large skillet over medium high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 3 tablespoons olive oil. When butter and oil start to sizzle, add 2 pieces of chicken and cook for 3 minutes. When chicken is browned, flip and cook other side for 3 minutes. Remove and transfer to plate. Melt 2 more tablespoons butter and add another 2 tablespoons olive oil. When butter and oil start to sizzle, add the other 2 pieces of chicken and brown both sides in same manner. Remove pan from heat and add chicken to the plate.
Into the pan add the lemon juice, stock and capers. Return to stove and bring to boil, scraping up brown bits from the pan for extra flavor. Check for seasoning. Return all the chicken to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove chicken to platter. Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter to sauce and whisk vigorously. Pour sauce over chicken and garnish with parsley.

Love the video and this dish my fav
I love all your shows and that gorgeous smile 🥰
I was thinking the sauce should be thicker… or am i wrong?
I like this version of her…she became kinda uppity and a bit manic…but then again, there may have been stuff going on at home…

That sauce is too watery. Cook it down to about half of that before you pour it on the chicken. 😮
😋👍🇪🇬
Are most sauces for chicken piccata that liquidy? I haven't eaten chicken piccata in a decade and can't remember.
The pair of tits on her, oh my
I wouldn’t mind eating your food and then finishing you off
Giada sorriso de luz a lessabdro Alessandro de Souza Brasil Félix ano feliz ano novo muita saúde
No white wine?? The chicken wasn’t even trimmed, fat, bloody parts went right in… to much sauce, I would of used, 1/2, stock, 1/2 white wine ratio, and MORE capers!!! 😎✌️
She has a fake smile
Looks a little watery for my liking
Can you place this over some pasta? Seems like it would be really good that way.
Back before she let fame get to her head. So pathetic she divorced her husband and broke up her family to be a famed TV personality.
i was told i had a big head my whole life -icon out
sooooo much better with a white wine deglaze
Idk tbh that doesn’t look that good
I think you’re great with the accent, without it and same with the smiles or lack thereof. You’re an amazing chef and people need to get off your back. Bullying at it’s not so finest. Lol. Shake the haters off and double those capers! 😂
Too watery sauce (should be thicker) and chicken should be more seared.
She got so weird- don’t trust a skinny chef
Perfect except use wine too
Giada is light and delicious
Gordon Ramsey would say it looked liked his grand dads colostomy bag leaked on the plate😅😅
I used avocado coconut & safflower oil instead of olive oil it gave it so much flavor love this
Love chicken piccata
The great cornholio approves…..I need beavis and butthead to react to this video….
Sauce looks like soup . It should of been thicker .
Your ingredients were wrong and amount on lemon juice was wrong
Omg.. she seasoned that with air.
One breast was golden brown and looked good the others looked pathetic I have to say. lol
are we not going to talk about the sponge 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Did you have to use fingers on that bottle of Capers??
I bet Giada wishes she could remake this without the canned stock. I bet if you asked her now there would be a cornacopia of changes she would make to this recipe
You're the Best. I make this for my wife , she loves it. 🍷💕
is it me or could that chicken used another minute . Very light
Eww
