“Leave the gun, take the cannoli” – is there a more iconic line spoken in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather? I mean, apart from almost every other line of dialogue? In a film defined by its own endless defining moments, food still manages to stand out as a memorable supporting character. I mean, it wouldn’t be much of an Italian mobster film without it.

Eating a whole bakers dozen of small cannolis while watching this👌🏼
“Leave the gun… take the cannoli”
Great job. Now you need to make Clemenza’s meatball and sausage dish from the following scene.
1/16th of an inch…
Just use cm and mm. It's an italian tradition
I read the thumbnail as “another gandolfini”
You heard it here first folks. Babish likes to tap into traps.
Don't forget the cannoli
In Godfarher 3 Conny kills Don Altobello with a canoli at the opera house, saying it was his favorite and a birthday present. It was a pretty major scene. It marked the end of the Godfather in her line "sleep Godfather, sleep" since Don Altobello was her Godfather. 😀
I like that everything I want to make, you have a video for it
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔
Vinnie cannoli likes this video
Why not make the one from godfather 3
“Leave the gun, take the cream soda.” -Peter Griffin
Babish, you gotta make Clemenza's sauce from later in the movie. He even gives Michael a detailed recipe. In the film it's not clear if it was a sauce for spaghetti or something else. I'd like to see if Babish can add his own twist to it.
In Godfather III. A poisoned cannoli was Given to Don Altobello
With this recipe how many cannolis does it call for
Chef john the OG
Made the poison ones and died 10/10 highly recommend 👍
isnt ricotta, cheese? does it taste cheesy? never had it and was curious.
How much ricotta
Hello.. 😁
These cannolis are awesome, but what isn't so awesome is cross referencing 2 recipes and neither recipie mentioning how to properly boil lard.
Do NOT treat is as though it was water. DO NOT cover your lard, and DO NOT continue heating until you see bubbles..
Learned this the hard way…
Just make sure the lard melts, and then you can put the cannolis in. AFTER you put them in, you will see bubbles. This is at least true for crisco, and it will say this on the label
Can you make the recipe printable please?
Is 48 ounces of ricotta correct? I have that down as around 1400g which is a lot of cheese!!
why sift if you are processing in a food processor
Man I remember the videos with this song
How many connoli shells does the dough make?
Paulie would be proud
Any substitute for marsala wine?
Fun fact: the line in the script was just "Leave the gun."; actor Richard Castellano adlibbed the cannoli part.
