This classic New Orleans dessert is fun, easy, and delicious. In this video, Nicole shows you how to make bananas foster. After halving and slicing the bananas, melt butter in a skillet. Add in brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla before tossing in the bananas as well as walnuts. Once they’ve cooked for around a minute, turn off the heat and pour in the rum. Set it aflame with a match. Top the bananas with vanilla ice cream and the syrup from the pan for an indulgent and flavorful dessert!

  1. You make everything look sooooo delicious. I actually have all the ingredients but do I dare?

  2. It looks delicious. In France, they use brandy Instead of rum and call it Bananes Flambees. They bring it up to your table on a cart with a portable burner and prepare dessert in front of you, as a spectacle.

  3. Bananas Foster is my favorite dessert at a restaurant! I am definitely gonna try to make this! (Going to New Orleans in early June. Can’t wait to eat this dessert at Brennans!)
