  1. If you use only the egg yolk the cookie would be very chewy and the flavour would be amazing

  2. Bruhh, i forgot to put them in the refrigerator, im typing this as they are already ready to be put in the oven…

  3. currently making them. i made the mistake of not letting my butter cool down after melting it 😅 it’s looking a little liquidly lol. i’ll edit this comment after the baking (i replied to someone under this comment instead)

  4. My fam loved the cookies I did a few things different though I browned the butter (make sure to add an ice cube in the brown butter when done and make sure the butter is cool) I also used salted butter since I had no unsalted butter so then I just added no salt in the cookies I also used 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder since I had no baking soda

  5. I TRIED THIS BUT THEN I GOT TO HAPPY AND MADE ICECREAM BY PUTTING THE DOH IN THE FREEZER

  6. On the closed captions it said better than Subway cookies. If you didn’t catch it she said that.

  7. I made these and came out with 16 large cookies so you could potentially make 38 cookies if you used a teaspoon instead of tablespoon to measure the dough out

  8. Or if you want another recipe if you get a bag of Kirkland semi-sweet chocolate chips from Costco there is a whole recipe on the back of the bag and the only difference I made to it was I browned my butter and the results were identical

  9. This recipe works so wellll but the only thing is i had to bake them for 13-15+ minutes because i have an electric oven and 8-10 was just too less for me

  10. when i make these the cookies end up spreading out in the oven n mine turns out very thin? Any tips x

  11. Anyone have any advice? I want this but as a brownie cookie. If I wanna add cocoa powder, do I have to take a bit of flour out?

  12. Made these cookies just now and followed the recipe 100%

    My conclusion:

    – The batter that she shows is far from what you‘re going to get if you follow the recipe. It is way more liquid. Mabe due to filming her batter cooled off and we have just seen the state where the butter is starting to set again? I don‘t know. Other people commented this too and had to use more flour.

    – there is no way she got this browning on the cookies in 8 minutes in the oven at 160C. There is just no way. When I checked after 8 minutes the cookies were super light and puffy. I sat by the oven and waited at least 13-14 minutes in total and just then did they turn brown, more crispy and flattened out.

I have no idea how she achieved this look of cookies with this recipe. My cookies didn‘t even come close to looking like this, they were more puffy and not flat. The only way to actually achieve these cookies with this recipe is to crank up the heat so the butter melts faster and they don‘t end up flat + don‘t just scoop them but flatten them out with a spoon when putting on the baking sheet. I wish she would‘ve done a time lapse or something because I can‘t believe how she achieved this.
