We love rice pudding and this is a good old fashioned rice pudding recipe. Use leftover rice and mix it with some eggs, milk, spices, bake it and it is ready to go. We love this easy recipe and hope you give it a try.

Here is another rice pudding recipe: it’s a stovetop cheesecake rice pudding recipe. Super simple and delicious.

  1. I have a question about the rice. Your video says to use 3 Cups of cold cooked rice. Is that 3 Cups worth of the actual rice after it's been cooked, or, three cups of uncooked rice, where you just add in whatever the amount is after you cooked it all (which would be a LOT of rice). I am thinking the first one but wanted to be sure. Thanks!! ~~ Ray

  2. Would you please do a real deal heritage rice pudding. It's baked on 300°F in glass for 3 hours. Double pan it. Stir GENTLY with a flat spatula, once an hour, for 2 hours. Then let it cook that last hour without stirring.

  3. I'm from the UK, baked rice pudding never had eggs in,or cream. Just raw rice,a little sugar, milk and enough butter to grease the dish. Sprinkle a little nutmeg on top. Delicious, everyone wanted the toasty "skin " off the top!

  4. My Mum used to do a lovely one, with sultanas and nutmeg. She also made the best bread pudding, good stodgy grub!

  5. In the UK I don’t think cinnamon was ever used, it was always nutmeg. Actually my mum never put eggs in either just milk, sugar and round rice. Slow cooked. Turned out creamy and delicious.

  6. It's safer to put the pans in the oven first then pour the hot water into the outer pan .. Less chance of spillage and burns

  7. My Mom didn’t bake it she cooked it on the stove and it was so good we got it at Christmas time and thanksgiving as she didn’t have very much money raising 7 kids alone .I tried but it didn’t taste like hers at all .

  8. everything tastes nice with cream and heavy eggs, i dont seem to be able to find heavy eggs in my grocery store.:p

  9. Safety tip: Set the pans on the oven rack before adding the boiling water. That way you don't take the chance of accidentially tipping it down the front of yourself.
