To me, this was the worst storyline in Peep Show. Theres no feasible way Mark would be this stupid. Desperate maybe, but extremely out of character here.
Lives in the south east, with hundreds if not thousands of places able to deliver a decent takeaway within the hour, even back then, yet mashes fingered beans.
I consider this an all-time classic sequence amongst any sitcom ever made. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched this video

I love the lint, she’s got a husband and in 30 mins he will want some dinner. It’s like Mark is the housewife! Makes me laugh.
I think Mark is one of the funniest characters ever written.
