INGREDIENTS:
1 cup raw tahini
⅔ cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
½ cup flour
Pinch salt

PREPARATION
-Preheat the oven to 350F / 175C.
-Add all ingredients in a bowl except the flour and mix.
-Add the flour and mix until the dough looks crumbly.
-Using your hands, take a small piece of dough and squeeze it into a small ball. Then flatten it.
-Place each ball on a baking paper-lined tray. Press each ball in the middle with your thumb and place an almond in the space. You can also use a fork to flatten each ball and make pretty lines.
-Bake for 10 minutes. Delicious with coffee and tea!

  1. I was unsure how I would feel about these, since I am used to tahini being used in hummus (savory). But I received some tahini in my Israel package. So I gave them a go… and added some almond extract, as well. OH MAN!! They are absolutely delicious!!!!! Thank you!! I am buying more tahini just for these cookies, alone! lol
