  1. I am Dutch and purslane is my number one favourite vegetable! Sadly it is very seasonal and only available at more old fashioned greengrocers. My mother taught me to sauté it with some onion. I also eat it as "stamppot", mixed with mashed potatoes.

  2. Salaam sister. my mum and I both love your vlogs Mashallah. in some of your dishes you use a frying pan that has a black and red checked design. where did you get it from sister as we are Muslim of Pakistan but we live in Scotland in UK. please reply soon as the check design is of our Scotland heritage. Jazakallah

  3. Sister I am pakistani Muslim. I love every Muslim in world. Many of turkish insulting pakistani. Pakistan is 5th largest population of world. Pakistan has huge variety of nuclear weapons and long range nuclear missile.
Pakistan can destroy turkey in 1 hour from world.
    What is turkey????
Turkey is a country who adopt European culture to enter in European union. But turkey kicked off from European union many times.
Recently, turkey launched a free trade agreement with pakistan.
Why turkey need pakistan for trade???
We can destroy turkey in 1 hour with nuclear missile.
Turkey is a slave of European union and Israel.
All countries like China, India, Israel, European union and America are afraid off from pakistan. Not coward turkey.
Why arrogant turkish people insulting my country?????

  5. As always, the great Turks are the innovators of almost everything in food and other things in life as we know it now, these historical facts are amazing, Masha Allah.

  6. Time to research purslane.. how does it taste like? Does it taste like spinach? Thanks again sister. Teşekkürler hanam

  7. I’ve never heard of Purslane this is cool I’m in the uk I’m going to search my local Turkish shop to see if they sell it but otherwise Il make this with a watercress salad instead to satisfy my need to make everything you post on YouTube 😂

  8. I cook this with olive oil, then i add some black bean chilli oil a teaspoon then a teaspoon of tumeric powder. cook on medium heat do not burn just keep cooking most water till the purslane is wilted and about third of the size from fresh. then add garlic cook until garlic is fragrant less than a minute. turn off heat. before serving some salt and pepper. more olive oil this time not cooked just fresh. then finish with a teaspoon of sesame oil and teaspoon of vinegar. next get some old slice of bread sourdough or vienna then put pieces spread into the mix; the oil and remaining water and the flavours will soak into the bread to be nice with the purslane lemon tangy flavour. a delicious savoury vegetable accompaniment for any type of meat or just ready to eat as is. I am amazed how this is considered a weed but compared to the 'weeds' type food you can eat this is the most versatile in cooking and the tastiest. I will be adding this with my other very easy to grow malabar spinach!

  9. We feed this to animal and we don’t even know
It’s edible .I have first taste of this salad when I was in UAE I love it

  10. Thank you. Purslane grows wild on my land. Today, I gathered some. Maybe a little less than a pound. I will try both recipes. God bless you.
