  1. Not right. The specific taste of garam masala comes from slow roasting of the ingredient spices, together, before they are ground.

  2. absolutely……..quick doesn't refer that main classical principle i.e. sauteing or roasting ingredients should be missed. Sauteing give the traditional aroma to it.

  3. She is definetily not Indo-pak, but seems to know more about garam-masala ore than us.  Garam masala will never taste goood until it is fried.
