Turkish Tabblouleh©

The name says it all. Yet the name is missing something.
The Turkish name.

KISIR

KISIR is its name in Turkey.
Yet the Origins of the dish may be Arab.
And since the Ottomans had rule in Arab lands, it makes sense how it got to Turkey.
Yet the odd thing is KISIR is a Assyrian Term.

Some believe maybe even the Assyrians had introduced the term for what the Arabs had been making next door.
And in a turn of events, sent it to the Turks in a different way.
One will never know.

But in Turkey this dish rules.
It is very popular.
And actually in our family is more preferred over the traditional Tabbouleh.

I know you will enjoy this wonderful salad.
And it is healthy!
Eat plenty after a good workout!
Or with a meal.

Enjoy!
