  1. My dry active yeast says it needs a certain water temperature and sugar. Will this be a problem if I don’t warm the water or add sugar? You have not done either in your recipe. I don’t see the yeast bubbles and it’s been half hour already.

  2. In Greek tradition the braid is done with 3 strands to represent the holy trinity. Very symbolic at Easter time.

  3. Akis, can you please tell me if I can knead the dough and let it rise in the bread machine? And if so, do I add the room temperature butter at the end of the kneading program or at the beginning? Thanks! You are the best!

  6. Σας παρακαλώ….. αν αφαιρέσω το μέλι πόση ζάχαρη πρέπει να συμπληρώσω;
    I would like to omit the honey, can you please tell me how much more sugar would be needed?

  7. Thank you so much for your recipe Aki. I made the tsoureki (my first time ever and they smell and look great) however it wasn't sweet enough as it was difficult to measure the honey in grams. If it was in ml that would have helped. How much honey 106ml or 150ml? Also the sugar which is added to the aromatic spices is it tablespoon or a large scoop soup spoon (how much in grams?) In your video it looks more than a tablespoon. I was a little confused with the butter as well. The recipe doesn't outline under ingredients that 100g are pieces. Luckily I watched your videos and I realised when to add the melted and when to add the pieces. Sorry for the amount of questions but I would like to make it again to get it right. Thank you so much!

    Δεν ακολουθησα την ελληνικη βερσιόν γιατι ειχα μαζι μου αγγλοφωνο και την πατησα!
    Δεν υπαρχει γαλα στην συνταγη σου και τα πεταξαμε στον καδο ΟΛΑ!
    διπλη δόση!!!!!!!

    Διόρθωσε η κατεβασε το βίντεο…..
    Με ολη μου την αγάπη…αλλα με κατέστρεψε ς!!!!!!!!!

    Όσον αφορά στη ζάχαρη, δίνεις μισό κουταλάκι ΜΟΝΟΝ και για έξτρα γλυκύτητα, προσθέτεις ακόμα 50 γρ.!!!!!

    Το κακό είναι ότι βρίσκομαι εκτός Ελλάδος κι ήταν πολύ δύσκολο να βρω μαχλεπι και μαστίχα, ώστε να ξαναπροσπαθησω! Εξ ου και το " με κατέστρεψες "!!!!
    Σε φιλώ γλυκά ωστόσο και καλό Πάσχα ( χωρίς τσουρέκι)@@@@@@😢
