Just found your channel. You are delightful. 😊 I haven’t had blackberry cobbler almost 40 years. My mother passed a year ago and took her recipe with her. I’m going to give it a try. Your recipe looks delicious.
My favorite kind of cobbler my family comes from East Texas and black berry cobbler is a staple there.
Hint: If you stir the cinnamon and nutmeg into a cup of either sugar, it will stir right in when added to the water.
Hint: Flour thickens to its highest thickness when it’s boiled.
The same flour/water mixture she shows is what I use to make my turkey and chicken gravy.
You can use any leftover flour/water to make biscuit gravy. Add it to your pan drippings, after frying meat, can be either sausage or pork chops or roast beef, etc.
I'm not a big peach cobbler fan. My Big Mama would make a blackberry cobbler on the side for me and my cousin. Miss those days. I'm going to try this.
