I know this is an older video, but I just discovered this sauce and had some roasted peppers lying about. I used your other suggestions and the sauce came out great! I tossed it with some chicken and served it with mashed sweet potatoes, it was delicious. I will certainly try it just on bread, but I imagine ot goes great on pretty much everything. Thanks for the easy recipe!

As a Catalan, the best two sauces are All i Oli (not aioli, All i Oli – it means garlic and oil) and Romesco. This Romesco sauce is acceptable.

While this looks delicious, that is not Romesco sauce. Romesco does not have roasted red peppers in it at all. Dried & rehydrated Nora peppers are what makes this sauce unique. You are kinda back-dooring it here with the paprika but it's not the same.

You absolutely lose flavor from using running water. You are washing off the oil that was activated from roasting. But just my two cents

I dont know what I did wrong but the flavor came out ok, but the texture is "sandy" which is not particularly pleasant.
