Today I am cooking at home and making tres leches cake from scratch. This recipe can be doubled for a larger cake. You can add fresh fruit for garnish and different toppings to make it festive.

⭐️ EASY TRES LECHES Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS
8-inch baking pan or dish
1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp (75 g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 large eggs (separated)
1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
3 Tbsp (45 ml) whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
7 oz (198 g) sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup (207 ml) evaporated milk
1/3 cup (78 ml) whole milk
2-inch piece orange peel (optional)
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
TOPPING
1 cup (236.5 ml) whipping cream
1 1/2 Tbsp confectioner’s sugar

  5. Thank you for this recipe. I have a bride who would like it for her wedding cake. Can you tell me if the soaked cake can be used in a three layered cake and still hold up? I will be stacking cakes a well and filling with Mango Marmalade combined with buttercream. I was considering less milk for the soak.

  12. I've made it with out milk bc I was out of whole milk, was goood. Next time I'll do it with coconut condensed milk or oat condensed milk ! Also haven't tried it with cinnamon and orange peels, kinda nervous to do that step, I always pass it

  13. Gracias Mammie , i am trying to show someone what Tres Leche is and of course i went to YT to send them a video. But the first 5 videos on TresLeche are white guys cooking them and they look dry AF. (The cake) . Of course i see a Latina making it and its wet and moist like it should be. Im from LA but my friend is in the UK so theres no reference for them. I want them to see the REAL cake. I knew I would have to find a latina with a lil cake, to show them the real Tres Leche. Thank you.

  15. any particular reason you chill your egg whites before you beat them? i thought the usual advice was to keep them at room temp. love your recipes and videos <3

  16. So….Just reread the ingredients which I went over several times before beginning. Because, as beautiful as my cake looks, when I served it up in all it's deliciousness it was dense and hard, almost solid. I could not believe it because there is a lot of leche in the pan but it did not soak in. Guess what?? I used a 1 WHOLE cup and 2 TBS of flour😧 I apparently didn't see 1/2 but 1 cup and 2 TBS UGHHH

    So frustrated…what a waste of products. Tells me I didn't need it! However, I will make it again soon. BTW the leche with orange peel is delicisoso! It is the same recipe I use for my arroz con leche (orange peel and cinnamon stick)=))
