  1. Looks like they used a metal brush to clean the grill. Never use a metal brush. The bristles can break off and end up in your food. Very dangerous.

  2. The finishing "Brush" is known as a "Mop" here in Texas and can be done with a sprig of rosemary. This is actually grilled chicken with BBQ sauce. Looks good!

  3. I was a tiny bit skeptical even though I have made dozens of ATK recipes. This is quite an investment in time since I don't have a sous chef gathering my spices. I substituted honey for apple jelly; for some reason there's none in the stores. I don't eat jelly so I didn't have any. Otherwise, I followed the recipe to the letter and I have to admit, that's the best barbeque chicken I've had and I live in Texas.

  4. AS USUAL, THIS IS ABSOLUTE OVER BULLSHARTED WASTE OF TIME AND INGREDIENTS GARBAGE FROM THESE MARTHA STEWART WANNABEES

  5. I'm going to try this! Everything looks great (except eating BBQ chicken with a knife and fork-lol)!

  6. by FAR the BEST bar b q chicken we've EVER had. we subbed peach jam for the apple jelly. absolutely lip smacking good! thanks for a superb recipe ATK!

  7. Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ is all you really need, but a few shakes of some QUALITY hot sauce added will be appreciated by all!

  8. Good luck tasting any actual chicken flavour with all those horrible sprinkles, sauces, smoking and glaze! Trust you Americans to over guild the Lilly! Sacrilege!

  9. NEVER USE OIL ON A PAPER TOWEL AND RUB IT ON THE HOT GRILLS WITH A FIRE GOING. USE A HIGH – HEAT OIL SPRAY, LIKE PAM, ETC. FROM A SAFE DISTANCE.

  10. OK, this isn't my first rodeo, but I have sometimes struggled to get my chicken to the "fall off the bone" state on my barbecue grill, so I thought I'd give this a try. I didn't adhere strictly to the recipe here, but did something very similar, especially coz I thought the idea of braizing the chicken made sense. I was pretty disappointed in the actual taste of the chicken. I may as well have cooked it in the oven. I think the brazing liquid must have prevented the meat from absorbing that smoky flavor from the wood chips, which is the big draw of smoked (barbecued) chicken, IMHO. Also, the skin was tough as nails, I could not cut it with the side of a fork. The actual meat of the chicken was perfectly cooked, I just didn't think it had much flavor, especially smoke flavor.

  11. Looks good, but I like the skin to be crispy not soft and soggy. With that being said, I would remove the skin before cooking when using this cooking method.

  12. FUNNY THING ABOUT A CHICKEN – THERE'S ENOUGH FAT AND FLAVOR IN THE THIGHS TO MOISTEN AND FLAVOR THE WHOLE BIRD – INCLUDING BREST – WITH THE FAT/FLAVOR OF THE THIGHT

  13. Is there anyvody that can help me first time cooking on my own to make this without owning a barbecue grill. I only have 1 pan, an air fryer, oven and a instant pot? How would i go about this to achieve the same result st home? Much love and gratitude for the advice
