  1. Hi thanks for your question. The cornstarch is used to thicken the filling, so instead try using potato starch, rice starch or flour instead. Let us know how it turns out.

  2. im a man. quit showing me makeup commercials youtube. just cause i cook does not mean i need foundation. you cant improve on perfection anyways.

  5. So is this the double recipe for the topping, or should I double the ingredients that they give?

  6. hello people just tried this cobbler, its the bomb, crumble can kiss my ass good by now,
also you can use any fruit you want and you can put the batter on top of the fruit if you want its your choice.
recipes are not rules they are guide lines. have fun.

  7. I skipped the fruit preparation and used canned cherries and or strawberries instead and put the fruit straight in to the oven (about 3 to 5 min) to warm it up while I prepared the flour mix. then threw that in. It comes out AWESOME every time.

  8. This reminds of good time at my grandmothers. Eighteenth grand children she had all of us go down in the pasture and pick blackberries by the buckets,.later that night we would enjoy Blackberry cobbler and homemade ice cream. Soooo good I going make this cobbler this summer when we all gather in Texas. Thank you

  9. Fantastic video, I think I will try this simple method. I've watched other videos but this is the simplest and best thus far. Thanks for sharing.

  10. suggestions on how to reduce the amount of sugar used – or sugar alternatives that could be used, would be appreciated

  11. Doubling the topping recipe is a terrible suggestion. The resulting cobbler is much too cakey. Not a cobbler at all really. More like a blackberry coffee cake.

  12. This was very good. The only thing I would change is putting less sugar in the berries. It was a bit sweeter than I like it. A half cup would have been plenty sweet.

  13. Nice Video!!! I Never Had Blackberry Cobbler!! But From Your Video ๐Ÿ“น.. The Cobbler Looks Delicious.. So Nice Of Your Measurements.

  14. I tried halving the ingredients because I did not have enough berries. Total disaster. The berries cooked down to nothing and the bread was thick and looked like cornbread. Threw it all out. Will look for another dough recipe.

  15. I done it…it's so tasty…๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป
    Thank you so much …..โคโคโค
    You make my day ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

  16. Can I just transfer the cooked berry mixture to a baking dish and spoon the dough on top of it and then bake it? I don't have cast iron skillets and pots. Also, is there a temperature adjustment for the baking dish as opposed to the cast iron? I will still set it on a cookie sheet lined with foil.
