It irritates me when every single cook uses garlic. It's just not practical for most of us. Garlic breath the next day is simply unacceptable. It's also the most overrated vegetable. Onion is easily its equal.

I've made this twice now.. omg it's absolutely beautiful!! I substituted the Aleppo for cayenne and paprika and tonight I put some white wine in as I forgot the lemon. Served with toasted sourdough – divine!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe <3
