  1. Idk why but this video brought me so much peace.. like idk it was just so wholesome 😭

  2. Would it be crazy to try Greek yogurt instead of sour cream? I want to make them right now and that’s the only thing I don’t have 😅 they look great!

  3. this was such a comforting video, I could listen to Sauci talk for hours

  4. My grandma always said when you can smell the cake you know it's done and I say that too, it's true. Watching in St. Louis😉

  5. I use me most for the oven too, but mostly because my thermostat doesn't work correctly because they only HVAC vent in that room is behind the oven… 100year old house issues.

  6. I made these as both muffins and a cake. The cake worked great. It ended up taking around 30 minutes instead of the 20 to 25 I suppose because there wasn't space between the batter like the muffins. Came out really nice.

  7. We need Aunties apple cake recipe asap… with MOM. I love her, shes so sweet. And also these muffins look sooooo good with a cup of coffee. Yummmm!

  8. This was so wholesome to watch. I loved the little animation for the muffin cup in the corner 2:33 haha!

  9. This looked so delicious that I was compelled to start making this recipe halfway through the video. I didn't have a muffin tray, so I baked it as a cake. The cake needed much longer to bake—about 35-40 minutes at 375°F.

  10. Never made an apple cake.. But I have a pumpkin bread recipe that I substituted applesauce for the pumpkin – and used one egg instead of two – apple bread is pretty good. Thinking about trying apple butter instead of applesauce, but haven't got around to it yet.

  11. I understand now why you are so lovely Claire, you have a sweet, loving, kind mother. Going to lean on the side of nurture here.

  12. claire saying she cant not change a recipe spoke to my soul 😂i dont think ive ever made a recipe exactly as written

  13. Ok. Now I'm officially in love with Claire's mom!!! You're so blessed to have such an adorable, sweet and kind mother. Blessings to you both. ❤

  14. I heard the water in the empty cups thing in culinary school! I believe is it to prevent cheaper, thin pans from warping due to getting hotter in the oven when empty. I don’t know anyone who actually does that though 😂 I love baking with my family and documenting family recipes. The generational connection is one of my favorite things about cooking and baking. Thanks for sharing your time with your mom with us Claire!

  15. ++++++++++If this recipe was posted on khal, many more people would be able to enjoy it. It is definitely something that should be added there+++++++++++++++
