I made some semi-homemade lemon bars for a family outing recently, but from a box cake mix. Anyway, everyone ranted and raved, but I know it's because I put TWO sticks of butter in it and extra zest. Now I'm getting requests to make it again for Easter sunday, but I'm going to surprise them with these instead! Thanks!!

Wow. That looks really good. i used to work with someone who would bring lemon bars in for us on the night shift. She said that her family loved them. They didn't look at all like yours. Can you do anything like that with oranges or is the juice too different for it to work?

Can you use limes to substitute for the lemon?
I prefer Barefoot Contessas lemon bars they have lots of lemon. Juice I have Made them and they were sooo good.
