  1. No liquid in authentic jerk. Dry rub only. The wet is the jerk sauce after the dry rub. To get authentic jerk you need to cook over charcoal.

  2. This recipe is amazing. I have made it many times. I like to add half cup of orange juice for some sweet flavor.

  3. Before you marinate with your homemade sauce, what did you put in the chicken.. sorry i have difficulty of hearing.. thankfully i saw in comments the list of ingredients

  4. Me and friend made this today, and it has been solidified as the best thing we've cooked together so far <3

  5. So how long was it in the oven? 30mins, flip, cover with sauce and back in for 5 mins? I made a jerk chicken from a packet recipe which ended up disgusting. So I really want to try your recipe. it looks nice

  8. Hi, Mama Joan,

I was really hoping that you'd plate the jerk chicken and eat some of it.

For me, it's disappointing to see a channel that just cooks food, but doesn't eat the food on video.

However, I LOVE that you gave your jerk recipe, I just wish that you'd taken at least one bite and describe it to me. I'm drooling here! LOL!

  9. You can just tell she the type of grandma who always got some fire left overs in the fridge and heats them up for you, and then while you already eating she is cooking you a fresh homecooked 3 course meal.
