  1. The ingredients are almost right, the cut up in tiny pieces though, way far from what a Greek salad looks like… you won't find it looking like this in any part of my country, Greece. ..sorry Rachel..I made your minestrone the other day though and was the best recipe I have ever come across for minestrone. Like you and your cooking a lot!!!

  2. Looks great except I make mine without red onion because I find it overpowering and i use basil because i prefer the flavour but that is the great thing about recipes you can make them to your taste

  3. Hey Rachel you just offended the whole Greek nation by calling this a Greek salad and using some ingredients that you did. So let me tell you why. First you call it "easy" but the actual Greek salad is easier. Then you are using Persian cucumber, I mean ideally you wat Greek cucumber but I guess in the US you can probs only get English cucumber, which less flavourfull but you actually want the seeds and the moisture. You want big juicy cucumbers in there. The tomatoes, I am sorry to say, but you have raped them. Why remove the inside? It's the best part of the salad! The idea of this salad is to actually have a lot of juice. The bread dunking in the end is the best. Then please no lemon, white wine vinegar for salads. And for your herbs, you only use oregano in the salad, loads of it and nothing else. Oregano is the king of herbs in Greece. Mint has no place in any salads in Greece. In fact it's super rare in Greek cuisine. Dill, only in certain dishes, maybe spreads. I think it looks like you have parsley there, never parsley with tomatoes. Only oregano in this salad and most salads, please. And for the oil, it's super important that your oil is extra virgin olive oil. Why Israeli? Greece has the best olives and an important addition to this salad to make it Greek is the olive oil. Last, the olives in Greece are never pitted. Always whole.

  5. Hello from Greece Mrs Ray… With all the respect for you. Your salad looks kinda wrong…. We use the same ingredients except lemon in it but we chop everything differently and then we use spoons to mix everything up….
