This St. Patrick’s Day, I’m celebrating with one of the most perfectly balanced meals ever created; the Reuben Sandwich with a side of Pickle and Salt and Vinegar potato chips. It’s the only sandwich, in my opinion, that tops a grilled cheese and since the Irish are known for their Corned Beef, what else could possibly be more fitting. 1. Salt! On Sauerkraut! That is amazing. I'm a corned beef AND pastrami guy myself. And I need twice as much meat though. And the pickle is essential. Oh man, this has me wishing for a rueben. But it's bedtime. I can dream about it!

  2. This is totally a poor man's meal. I calculated that a nice, big one is only about $2.2 with the chips and pickles. I would like to add that cold kept sauerkraut has more probiotics than in the jar, making it much healthier. Get it in the bag.

  3. That flip was an excellent maneuver.
I guess I'll ask what everyone is thinking…
    When is your restaurant opening?
    Another mouthwatering video as usual.

  4. Exactly how I make them… problem with findng good Rye bread is that it's so thinly sliced anymore it doesn't make as good a sandwich as a few years back when bakerys sliced the bread a little thicker.

  5. Do you have any good bread substitutions? Love everything inside, but I hate only two things, white chocolate and rye bread. I watch all your videos and love them. Thanks for your yummy recipes.

  6. Mmm that looks delicious. I do love me a Reuben.
Reubens aren't so popular in Australia, but some upmarket cafe's and speciality sandwich joints have it on their menu.
I agree with both corned beef and pastrami. But not the thousand island dressing, mustard mayo is my preference.
A twist on the Reuben is use Kim Chi instead of sauerkraut. It adds spiciness and flavour.
    Cheers 👍🤤😀
