  1. A wonderful treat !!! My family normally does fried pumpkin blossoms. I love going out in the early morning to pick blossoms. I was taught at a young age how to distinguish the male from the female blossoms of pumpkin and zucchini plants. Only pick the male blossoms or you will not have any zucchini and leave some male to ensure the females become pollinated. It is easy to see you have only male blossoms. I could explain how to tell the difference but there are several videos that show how to differentiate them. On pumpkin blossoms the stamen must be removed when cleaning them to fry. Wonderful video!

  2. Hello, Giovanna!! It’s so good to see you again!! 🥰 The zucchini blossoms look amazing. I’m from the Midwest and there was an Italian restaurant named Tosi’s that served fried zucchini blossoms. I never had them but heard about them. They also had a bakery and, fortunately, I enjoyed their wonderful cakes at weddings I attended. In May my husband and I spent a week in Ravello—my first time in Italy—and took day trips along the Amalfi coast. Lovely people, sites, and food. I have fallen in love with the country of your birth! Best wishes!! Marlene

  3. Clarification about the Rose Geranium Apple Jelly that I mentioned in the video: Place 2 Scented Geranium leaves into the jelly jar and pour the boiling apple jelly into it to make a very fragrant infusion. It's absolutely delicious!

  4. Grande Nuccia!
Questo per noi è uno dei piatti favoriti dell'estate, grazie ai frutti del nostro orto.
Tu addirittura li prendi dal balcone!!!
    Fantastico.

  5. Edible Flowers: chives, nasturtiums, dill, fennel, clover, violets. johnny jump ups, day lily, sweet woodruff, marigolds, dandelions, cabbage roses and damask roses,
There are others but these are off the top of my head and palate.

  6. I've read that it matters if you pick a male or a female flower to make sure you still get zucchini later in the season. Do you find that it matters?

  7. Hello Giovanna, I made your chestnut tagliatelle as featured on Pasta Grannies. It was very tasty but my noodles came out rather chewy. Is there something I can do to improve this? Should I make them thinner? Boil them longer?

  8. Good morning Paison just met Gerri and John. They told me about you. Will be watching your videos. God Bless. 🙏❤️👍

  9. Great recipe as always! I am from Greece, we also fry our zucchini flowers but stuff them with feta cheese and spearmint firstly. You should try it, it's delicious

  10. Rapallo is not very big. While you were there did you come across an couple both of whom were physicians? Her last name began with an N. and she born outside of Pittsburgh, PA? His last name began with a B. They would have been older than you. Their kids are still around.
