A usual suspect in my Syrian kitchen and pretty much every Middle Eastern home. Koussa Mehshi or Mahshi literally means Zucchini Stuffed in English. If you enjoyed this recipe, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. The more of you, the more recipes I can film. Big thank you for watching xx Dalia

  8. Marhaba Dalia! I just discovered your site. Great video. I have been looking for a recipe that is as close as possible to the Koussa that my friend from Damascus used to make and I think that yours is as close as I will find. For some reason, though, I think I remember her adding Saffron to the stuffing. Does that sound strange? I mean, have you heard of people adding saffron to their koussa? Of course, I wouldn't mind doing without it since it costs more than GOLD per ounce! :-). I so miss her Mujadara. She also made this really fantastic spinach recipe with garlic and carmelized onions. I have yet to find the recipe for that anywhere. I still have a bottle of Pomegranate molasses in my frig and can't remember what she used that for (LOL!). Like I said, best food in the world! Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for the recipe and video – I am going to make the koussa tonight.

  9. Lovely to watch, can you please tell me if the rice is precooked or from the packet raw?

  10. YOU ARE BORN TO BE A GENIOUS COOK, TESTING THE SPICE AND PERFECTLY EXPLAINING THE END RESULT IS IMPRESSIVE.
    GOOD LUCK FOR SUCCESS.
