I like to naturally sweeten the oats by cooking them with a banana and then I get them super fluffy by adding in some egg whites towards the end. I know this may sound weird, but it actually makes the most delicious oatmeal ever.

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST OATMEAL
2/3 cup rolled oats
1 2/3 cup water, cold
1 banana, chopped
1 pinch kosher salt
1/2 cup egg whites
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tbsp peanut butter
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine oatmeal, 1 1/3 cup water, banana and salt in a small pot. Stir and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in remaining 1/3 cup of cold water.
Slowly stir in the egg whites, continually stirring until the oats look opaque.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the oats are creamy, tender and heated through.
Serve topped with extra sliced bananas, hemp seeds and peanut butter. Enjoy!
*NOTE*
If you want to cook your oatmeal in the microwave, make one serving at a time.
Combine 1/3 cup oats, 2/3 cup water, 1/2 chopped banana, and pinch of salt in a microwave safe dish (I like to use these glass spouted cups).
Cook for one minute in the microwave or until the oats are warmed and softened. DO NOT let the oats boil; they will be too hot and scramble the egg whites.
Slowly stir in 1/4 cup of egg whites and microwave for another minute. Stir in cinnamon, transfer to a bowl and top with sliced bananas, peanut butter and hemp seeds. Enjoy!

Do you add the oats first then add everything else or do you boil the water/milk first then add everything. Some videos I seen like that. And do you boil on low or medium flame
Hi! I made a batch of these today and they honestly were the BEST oatmeal I've ever had at 58. I'm also an amazing cook, so I knew adding an egg white would not only add protein but also give it a creamy texture like pasta carbinara or other luscious foods. I had to come back and pin 📌 this to my pinterest for others to enjoy. Thanks for a wonderful recipe that will actually make me want oatmeal, instead of for health reasons.

High protein diets are medically known to be unhealthy, and the major reason to move to oatmeal for breakfast is to get away from eggs! So in my book this is a 1/3 winner with the cooked fruit, and 2/3 a loser because it could've been healthy. Oh and coconut milk is unhealthy because just like eggs it contains saturated fat. I always really liked you, please stop following trends and learn some nutritional facts.
