Creamy Garlic Shrimp And Grits Recipe
15 Jumbo Shrimp
salt
pepper
oil
1 cup grits
4 cups water or chicken broth
1 3/4 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup smoked or regular gouda
1/4 cup parmesan (cheese grits) + 1/4 cup (cream sauce)
4 tbsp butter
1/2 tbsp finely chopped shallots
2 tbs minced garlic in a jar or 3 cloves finely chopped
1/4 cup white wine
Parsley garnish

Add water or broth to a small pot, and allow it to come to a rolling boil
Add a small drizzle of oil to the shrimp.
Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper.
Add a small drizzle of oil to the pan and sear the shrimp on all sides.
Remove the shrimp and set it aside until later.
Using the same pan add 2 tablespoons of butter, shallots, and garlic. Cook until the shallots become translucent.
Add white wine, and 1 cup of heavy cream, and combine.
Add 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese and combine.
Allow the sauce to thicken, add the shrimp back to the pan, and garnish with parsley.
Add the grits to the pot and cook according to the instructions on the back of the box.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter, (3/4 cup heavy cream), gouda, (1/4 cup parmesan cheese), black pepper, and combine. the best shrimp and grits

  2. Plus, I am. Big fan of smoked Gouda. For the left over shrimp sauce, I poured it over my grilled ribeye steak and baked potato.

  3. Made this but tweaked it a bit by adding diced green and red peppers as well as roasted tomatoes to give the sauce more of a reddish color and deepen the flavor, so good!

I used smoke guda with bacon I had grabbed the wrong cheese lol along with the cheddar jack but I followed this recipe for the grits and it came out so good the grits had a great smoky taste I didn’t do the shrimps we had bacon with it , everyone won’t stop talking about it , so thank you so much for sharing this recipe ♥️

  10. My husband and I prepared this dish on May 01 2023. There were a number of recipes online but the one Tammy has prepared was out of this world delicious!!! A glass of wine and bread was an $80.00 meal easily. I felt very guilty because I over ate, but I quickly got over it! I realize this dish includes a breakfast cereal but it tastes more like a romantic dinner. Ohhhhhhh so good!!!!!!
    Well it did help that every ingredient used was my favories. Smoke guada, garlic, parsley, butter, heavy whipping cream, and of course grits. Way -a go young lady!!!!!
