Episode 0101 – Meatballs and marinara over spaghetti squash.

This is really our test run on how to make a video with cooking involved. We learned a lot about lighting and sound on this one.

Yes, the audio is crap, but we did cook something that was very tasty.

I have wanted to do a cooking show to display how easy it is to make good food with simple appliances. We typically use an Instant Pot, a Sous Vide, and a Breville oven.

The next time we do one of these, we’ll be better with both equipment and the talent. I have a couple of new cameras and microphones.

Recipe:

For marinara
3 Cans diced tomatoes
1/2 cup red wine
1 tbs Italian seasoning
1 tsp oregano
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
2 cups water

For Meatballs
2 lbs ground beef (85/15)
1 lb sweet Italian sausage
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup mozzarella
1/2 cup Parmesan

Spaghetti squash
1 squash
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp butter
1 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth

Salt and pepper to taste.
