Wait, she seriously added orange juice? Or did I hear that wrong? No one I've seen adds oregano, bit I'm not trying to criticize her recipe. I like to add butter unsalted, and red or purple onions. Also lemon squeeezed after at the very end. I also add a seasoning and red pepper powder instead of flakes. I've only used canned clams so far. Parsley, olive oil. Garlic. no cheese. Salt and pepper. White wine. I've seen people add cheese.

I live directly on the coast of Maine and our clams are so sweet and lovely that I would make buckets of clam sauce if I had a very easy recipe! 🙂
A clam that is heavy for its size is usually a mud puppy. No clam and filled with dirt.
I have paid a lot of money at times for linguine with clam sauce and there were never enough clams.
