  1. I tried these tonight and they were fantastic!! I wasn’t sure if 11 minutes was enough time, but I trusted the process, and they were PERFECT. Mine stayed puffy even after cooling though, not sure what I messed up 😢 they didn’t spread like a classic cookie

  2. Hi Sarah

I wanted to ask you do you turn the oven top and bottom or do you set it to only one.. and does the fan setting help or no ?
    Thanks

  3. Just tried this, I’m from Scotland where we call baking soda bicarbonate of soda, so I accidentally thought the recipe meant baking powder because of the word baking. I also put a little too much butter in it and when I was melting the butter it had bits in the bottom of it that turned dark brown. Perhaps I burnt the butter? I had it on the lowest heat but maybe I didn’t stir it enough. Know what though? I’m proud of myself for giving it a bash AND they are still pretty damn tasty. I will try this again though and next time it will be even better. Thank you from Bonnie Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ❤️🙏🏻

  4. love this recipe make it almost weekly. i seem to have a problem with my cookies turning out flat but i want the chewy thicker consistency like yours. any tips to not get them flat?

  5. I attempted to make these today and measured everything to a T with my food scale and unfortunately they were as flat as paper 😭😭😭😭. Idk what I could have done wrong as I used a scale for precision… My only guess could be is that you didn't actually weight the flour but used the measuring scoop which normally gives way more flour than what it is really suppose to weight. I may try again in the future but, with more flour and see if that helps..

  6. I love your channel!! I can’t wait to try these!! I do have a question, the video says cold eggs but the website says room temperature eggs. What would you recommend? 💛

  7. Excuse me what's the effect of brown butter on cookies ? Becuase in some recipes I see that browned butter at first but I dont know why

  8. I've made browned butter to add to a cookie recipe. I hadn't done that before. I made sure to stir it continuously. The butter did get a beautiful golden color… then it got darker. There were some brown flecks and a lot of black flecks in it. I didn't brown it on high heat. I'd say it was medium high. But watching this I saw where I messed up. I will have the heat at a lower setting in the future.

  9. I don’t have the 3/4 measuring cup what else should I use instead my measuring cups are 1 cup,1/2 cup,1/3 cup,1/4 cup

  10. So this is my go to and it’s midnight and ofc I had to make them and right now they are I the freezer for 30 minutes(ours is super cold and I don’t like waiting and I’ve been craving these for days) so yeah try them they are so good

  11. We made these cookies on our honeymoon at a little cottage on Lake Superior. I think will always take me back to that feeling of happiness I had while making these (it was also the first time my husband had made cookies). I have made this recipe again and again and I think it will be my go-to recipe for a long time! <3

  12. I just made these and they are great but my cookies never flatten out and look pretty like yours can you tell me what I might be doing wrong ? My cookies are like balls

  13. Hey, awesome recipe! What could I replace the granulated sugar with?

  14. Hey. I tried making these cookies today and they won’t spread. I’ve tried every recipe out there and for some reason they never spread. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? 😢.

  15. I’ve made this recipe twice and have run into some difficulties with flour. Thank you for this video. Omg. Chefs kiss to you!

  16. Are they supposed to be soft on the bottom after I leave them out or not? How long do I need to let them cool? Thank you!

  17. I kinda miss these long format videos… but I know they're a lot of work to do. thank you for making anything you do 😄

  18. This recipe is the best!!! I’ve made it more times than I’d like to admit 😅 I’ve even used the dough base and added different mix ins. Amazing!!!!!! Thank you xoxo

  19. I usually stay away from cookies but I forced myself to try this one. The flavour and aroma was exquisite. I do have some questions. My cookies weren't as flat and the top surface wasn't as textured as yours (it was a smooth dome, no wrinkles like on yours). Can you (or someone) help me understand and solve these issues please?

  20. You can tell you're a good baker because you speak so passionately about it, you get so in depth, that's what I do too when I'm passionate about meditation natural hair care etc ❤

  21. Is the unsalted butter supposed to separate or is it just the kind I’m using? Lol

  22. I noticed in this video you say to use cold eggs but in your recipe on your blog it says to use room temp eggs. Which is best?
