VANILLA CAKE RECIPE ►
10 ounces (283 g) milk room temperature, divided evenly into two measuring cups
3 ounces (85 g) canola oil
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
3 Large eggs room temperature
13 ounces (368 g) cake flour
13 ounces (368 g) sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 ounces (227 g) unsalted butter room temperature

Stabilized Whipped Cream ►
24 ounces (680 g) heavy whipping cream
4 ounces (113 g) powdered sugar
2 teaspoons gelatin I use KNOX brand
3 Tablespoons cold water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon heavy whipping cream for the gelatin
16 ounces (454 g) fresh strawberries washed and sliced for the filling

  5. I dont know if it’s just me but how is it that you can pick up a cake layer and it doesn’t just fall apart.. even just sliding my cake over a bit a chunk of it just cracks

  6. I’ve made this vanilla cake with buttercream before and I looooove it. I followed this “stable” whipped cream recipe exactly and my cake is in the freezer right now to keep it from collapsing. I made regular whipped cream yesterday and I wish I would have just used that😞

  12. AMAZING RECIPE AS WE NEED TO MAKE ONE THIS SUNDAY. BY THE WAY, DECADES AGO I SAW A COOK UST THREAD TO CUT VERY FRAGILE CAKES LIKE ANGELFOOD. SHE JUST ENCIRCLES THE WHOLE CAKE AT THE LEVEL NEEDED AND PULLED THE THREAD CLOSED AND A PERFECT CUT WAS MADE. I HOPE IT WORKS FOR US.

    I want three flavours vanilla ,chocolate and red velvet
    So shall I use vanilla for bottom 10” or 12” x 4”or 5” how much batter I will need?
    Either will be naked cake or abc butter cream

  14. I didn't get 3 separate 6 inch cake and you said we will get multiple. I don't understand it doesn't make any sense. And the cake didn't rise that much either.
