This Red Cabbage Salad was inspired by North Woods Inn Restaurant in Covina, CA. I was able to recreate the recipe to as close as I can get it. Try it and let me know what you think.

Ingredients:
One whole cabbage sliced thinly
4 crushed garlic
1 tbsp. salt or more to taste
1/4 cup Red wine vinegar
1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup grape seed oil or avocado oil

Mix all the ingredients together and let it marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours or even over night. This accompanies very well with a lot of different types of meats, chicken or fish. Enjoy!

  2. I have been a fan of the North Woods Inn since 1972. Back then you could get a steak and lobster dinner for $9.95. Those were the days!
