I love burghul with vermicelli. It is one of my favorite grain. I enjoy eating it with salad Or vegetables pickles or a pieces of chicken or fish. There are many ways to cook it. You can add tomato sauce to make it red too. Or you can add brown lentil to make it Mojadra. They all taste delicious and healthy.

Ingredients:-

-1 cup of medium burghul/ burghel washed one time and drained very well and set aside.
-1/4 cup vermicelli
-Salt to taste about 1 tsp
-1 1/2 cup Boiling water or chicken broth or half water and half broth. Of course with chicken broth will taste the best.
-Cooking oil about 3-4 Tbsp.

مكونات:-

– ١ كوب من البرغل المتوسط ​​/ يغسل مرة واحدة و يصفى بشكل جيد جدا و يضع جانبا
– ١/٤كوب شعرية
– ملح حسب الذوق حوالي ملعقة صغيرة
– ١ ١/٢ كوب ماء مغلي أو مرق الدجاج أو نصف الماء ونصف مرق. بالطبع مع مرق الدجاج سوف تذوق أفضل.
– زيت الطهي حوالي 3-4 ملعقة كبيرة.

Steps:-

-Heat oil in a medium pot then add vermicelli and cook until it is light brown.

-Add Burghul and fry for 5 minutes.

-Add boiling water or chicken broth. Check for the salt. Cover and bring to boil on high heat.

– Let it boil very good then lower the heat and cook for about 10 minutes or until all the liquid is gone.

-When all the liquid is gone, stir the burghul then cover again and cook for more 5 minutes.

-Check the burghul again, it might need more time otherwise it is done.

-Serve with meat or chicken or fish or with salad.
