  1. John, any ideas about my problem. I've been having some problems with my wrist so I went and bought a KitchenAid Pro stand mixer. I have tried using it several times, including now with your recipe and I have never had the dough mix and form gluten. In the past I have just given up and mixed it by hand.
Anyone have any ideas why this isn't working? I've adjusted the mixer with the dime thing and I am using the dough hook.

  2. This bread is what we usually eat in our region in the Middle East, thank you chef this was a great recipe.

  3. John. Your videos have reignited my passion for cooking. Might sound a bit weird but it is true. Thank you.

  4. Thanks John. Making these now to accompany a curry but I've added dried garlic and coriander. Fingers crossed 🤞

  5. Couldn't get to work on stove with skillet so tried air fryer and holy hell they got massive . Love your recipies

  6. Followed the recipe and the dough came out fine but when I went to cook it, it just started to bubble like I was doing naam bread but would not go into a balloon.
Tried a second one slightly thicker and the same. Doesn't matter though I just folded them over like you would with flat breads.

  7. I didn't know how easy it is to make those bread. Now I can make them at the comfort of my kitchen without going out to buy them. Thanks for sharing sir, ❤️

  8. They are amazing. Made them just now. All family love it, ,,,,,, better than from kebab shop. Thank u so much for lovely recipes 🤩😘

  9. Tried your jelly doughnuts, failed twice. So now I'll try this. Wondering if my mistake was in trying to convert the measurements. So hard. Not even going to try this one unless U S.measurements. Wasteful to have to throw it all away.
Tried your steak meat pie recipe. HUGE 🎯 hit! Had made extras for the next day but they didn't last that long.

  10. I loved this video , thank you very much for the step by step instructions….this is my favourite baking channel … keep it going ❤

  11. I really appreciate that you wrote the ingredients by weight , worked better for me than using volumes…. I have sensitive scale that I use and it worked out perfectly….thanks again

  12. I have a question please . If I want to make 100% Whole Wheat Pita bread how much whole wheat flour do I need to use if I keep the same amounts for the rest of the ingredients ? and did I need to add any other ingredients ?

  13. I have a question about using a stand mixer. If the recipe says to knead the dough for 10 minutes by hand, how many minutes do you knead it in the stand mixer? (I have hand problems so I want/need to knead the dough in the mixer.). This looks easy like the crumpets, just different.

  14. Thank you for your fantastic videos. I tried this recipe, and my pitas turned out perfect. It was very tempting to add more flour when completing the first knead, but I prevailed and kept on kneading as you described; sticky fingers and all. So, thanks for adding that detail. 😊

  15. @John Kirkwood Hi I would love to make this recipe of yours, but I am physically disabled due to kidney failure. How long would I need to put it in a stand mixer how long would it need to be in there to replace all of the hand kneading? Thank you any help would be appreciated.

  16. I absolutely love your videos John. I love baking and making bread but I have learned so much from your tutorials. Keep up the great work 👍🏼

  17. Hi john ❤ no matter what i do i cant seem to get a pocket. I even bought a laser thermometer and a cast irkn skillet. Any suggestions? Thanks John ❤

  18. I've been following a few of your bread recipes of late (your no knead loaf and the sandwich loaf have had a few successful outings so far!) and I was chuffed to see you had another great video showing how to make these. We love a homemade kebab sometimes but my husband complains the shop-bought pittas are too small compared to the ones he used to get from his favourite takeaway so I'll give these a go and see if that will keep him happy! 🙂
