  1. Hi John,
Your apple crumble looks very nice. I would like to make some and something to ask please. Can I use a wholemeal flour instead of plain flour ? Thank you.

  2. Hi john , i dont have a lemon, but can i use lime juice in this recipe instead?

  3. This looks really amazing! I have to make this for my husband for his birthday in December—he would rather have this than a cake any day.

  4. Hello again John. I just wanted to let you know that I followed this recipe, once again, yesterday. However, I didn't use apples but, instead, used pears picked from our own tree the day before. The pears were quite hard so they needed a much longer sauté to soften them up. In spite of the extra effort it came out a treat. My wife, mother in-law, sister in-law, step-daughter and the two builders doing my bathroom renovation loved it.

I've never cooked pears before but I got such a yield off the tree that I'm now looking at doing some other things (poaching?). I wonder if you've done much cooking with pears, and if so, do you have any good recipes? Perhaps an idea for another video hey John?

    Cheers.

  5. Just placed an order those books will e a great gift for my son. Had hoped thpo tlfind that utmeg gadget too… we use a lit of nutmeg in oatmeal 1😁

  6. Hi John ..Do you taste the lemon zest in the pie….. I'm not sure whether to put in or not….I don't want to spoil pie..thankyou.💖♥️🌹❤️🌺🏵️🌼💐💗💮🥀🌷🌸🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

  7. Best crumble I ever made was when I forgot about the apples, and they burnt on the bottom. I managed to salvage the top portion, and found it had a wonderful caramel flavour to it. I liked it, but the KP did not lol. I've tried many different ways to try to replicate that without ruining the pan, and I have been thinking of trying it this way by making the caramel then cooking the apples. Glad I'm not the only one who's thought of this idea.
