This is a nice dish. Earthy being a dominant flavor, I feel like it needs something fresh to cut it. Cilantro and oranges come to mind. Have you thought about adding an orange element. I feel like it would definitely fit with these flavors.
Something as simple as sweet and spicy candied orange zest threads for garnish could add another level of depth. It would add a delicate crisp texture to the dish as well.
