    There are more problems with this plating. I don’t see the pears, I see some kind of brown mass. The dripping is very irregular and looks more like an accident. Overall the color resembles a chocolate lavacake, but that could be the lighting and the photo. If you want to use syrup, maybe a small lake under the pear would be better. The flavor profile is pleasant, but unfortunately the visuals completely suppress it. The attempt to reinvent a wheel didn’t turn out the best. For inspiration, try Google “fine dining poached pear dessert”, or “michelin star poached pear dessert”. No need to copy, but be inspired.
