I used to work with this person and they are trying to push into social media with their cooking….yes it’s always this bad unfortunately
I want to ask so many questions. What is the grey stuff? Is that whipped cream from a can on top? Guess below please 🙏

Well whatever the grey stuff is, I’m sure it’s delicious 😝
This is where you need a real and true friend who will tell you, discretely, that this looks like ass.
Is there any chance they are just trolling
The leaf covered cream turd really does it for me 😂 that being said, if they enjoy it, good for them, but maybe they do need to look to others for inspiration a little more haha 🍃💩
I personally love when the chef uses baby carrots bitten into random size pieces
Lower right pic. It’s a dachshund.
Cannot unsee.
my first reaction was creamy weiner. and then i saw everything else.
maybe share his interest and send plates you do to help build him up.
wait , so he’s deadass serious ??!!??? lmaoooo
Does he work in an old folks home? Those anemic broccoli florets. The prepackaged carrot sticks. What’s in the bottom? wtf is on top? Mystery meat and whole leaves of parsley.
He’s trolling right?
Alright boys, close the sub.
We’ve peaked
This post is ass, leave them alone. Anyone who even attempts to pursue any artistic endeavors always makes these kinds of mistakes at first. When I look back on any early work I have in anything I have ever pursued I am often embarrassed by my early work. If you are close with this person provide them feedback in a constructive way otherwise just let them be they posted this to Facebook not some great culinary forum to get shit on. Maybe op is young and lacks perspective and should probably work on that before criticizing others.
In all fairness, it is on a plate.
Why does it look like there’s a tapeworm trying to escape in one of the pictures? lmao
Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m on r/culinaryplating or r/Poopfromabutt
Ooof 😅 if only Ramsay could see this 😂
Honestly just give them a mild complement and a few gently worded tips for constructive criticism. Maybe a “hey you also like plating, have you checked out (good resource)”. They are trying amd yeah overestimating themselves but that’s normal when people get into a creative field. Like they learned to pile, to garnish, to pipe, they just don’t get the context behind why so they think they have improved, and they may have. I’m still learning but I look back at some tacky ass forced plating I’ve done in the past. We all hit the realization of “less is more” eventually.
Also might recommend they try microwaving the broccoli until bright green and just barely tender. It’s an easy at home technique to get vibrant and not overcooked broccoli. And if it’s from frozen then to just not.
Ayo this looks like CHEEKS bro. You need to let him know in a very kind way that his plating ain’t it 😅🙂↔️
The giant parsley leaves are a choice!
Yes, it’s bad, but I don’t know why you felt the need to post it here. It’s not like you’re looking for us to provide them constructive feedback. You shared it just to dunk on this person. You suck, OP.
Ahhh I see, an enjoyer of East German post-war antidesign plating. It can be an acquired taste, but this one is undeniably art. The seeming disregard for white space just to hit you with the realization that the cream is the white space, adding quite literally nothing to the dish… stunning. The rule of four followed to a tee, giving it that forced and unnatural utilitarian ambiance that gets reinforced by the flat lighting and blank, cold and metallic surroundings. Even the elements themselves seem bland and overcooked, with disregard for texture or flavor. Every part was thoroughly thought trough. Simply Amazing.
Is the power of plating in the room with us?
To be fair, this does look more appetizing than it would look without the presentation.
Everyone wants to make jokes but I seriously doubt most of you have ever even had cilantro and cool whip
look like what you’d make for your dog if you know it’s its last meal
