Is that tomato blanched? peeled? It looks like the skin is curling up and left on. Not pleasant.
You’re getting enough flak for the plate – rather than just disparage it, my critique is that wet/messy items shouldn’t be served in rimless plates/platter. The intention of fork and knife eating of a glorified crostino is evident. Mopping up the spherified liquid (basil oil? Balsamic vinegar?) without a rim is ehhh, annoying ant tacky…in my professional opinion.
